Holiday Expectations

While I’m wishing everyone #HappyHolidays, I’m aware of how stressful this time of the year can be. Just wanted to send out a reminder that none of us has to have the “perfect” holiday for it to be special. Some years are just better than others, and sometimes we allow our expectations to run beyond what’s real.

I wish you all a peaceful season and hope you see the moments that shine bright through all the chaos.

Of course, if you’re looking for “perfect” holiday hair, I’m here for you.

Keep Looking on the Bright Side

The bright side. It can sound like a platitude, but I think the #summersolstice is a great opportunity for self renewal. The first day of summer is arriving and 94 degrees of Denver heat can be harsh. Be gentle with yourself–treat yourself to an ice cold drink and some alone time on the patio or plan a summer picnic with friends.  If you’re scheduling an appointment next month, ask me about a free deep conditioning treatment. These hot months will be gone soon, so enjoy the warmth and try to stay sunny.

Roses, Gold, and Great Hair

As we enter the month of love, most of us of think of chocolate, roses, and golden trinkets. Valentine’s Day is, of course, a celebration of those you love. I hope you are planning to spend the day with someone special, even if the special person is just you!

Consider giving yourself a treat for Valentine’s  – a new cut or color?

I just completed this Rose Gold Ombre for a client: download_20170204_173535

Rose gold hair is HOT right now and flattering for many people, but if this isn’t your thing, let’s do something else.

No matter what, take good care of you and remember Valentine’s Day is a good reminder to love yourself.

Control? Perfection? Hair can you make you humble

I have a birthday this week, and, like most weeks, I have a lot on my mind and much to juggle. With this gift of another year, I want to remember that I have more #control over my life than I sometimes realize, but I cannot control everything.

No, I cannot control or fix everything–hair reminds us that we never have complete control and seldom have perfection.

There are challenges I must face and work to overcome but also need to let go of the idea that things will be “perfect” or exactly how I imagine them to be–they can be better, and I can actively to work toward “better.”

I actively work with my clients for “better” hair, so I can do “better.”
